Vicos RSC is completely developed in object pascal. The development IDE is Borland Delphi 7.0.
Borland Delphi is the only Windows and Linux compatible platform availlable.
All implementations made since end of the year 2000 were implemented in a way that the code is Linux compatible.
This guarantees an easy switch-over to Linux (IDE: Borland Kylix).
VICOS RSC is completely object oriented, this allows to implement customer specific solutions quick and easy.
Redundancy is designed into the architecture. VICOS RSC's redundancy does not depend on third-party solutions. Another advantage is the short process control take over time in case of computer failures.
All PC's in a RSC
network
have the same information. Information is distributed by the master PC
at time of occurance.
