VICOS P500 consists of a plant editor, a control and aquistion system, control sequence editor and an evaluation system.

Around 390 000 lines of pascal code have been written until now in object pascal. The Development IDE is Delphi 5.1. VICOS P500 runs on Windows NT 4.0. It has been delivered to customers in Australia (Melbourne), China (Beijing, Guang Zhou, Shanghai, Shen Zhen), Germany (Augsburg, Cologne, Duisburg, Duesseldorf, Hannover, Rostock, Sachtleben), Hungary (Budapest), Malysia (Kuala Lumpur), Poland (Krakau), Spain(Madrid), Venecuela(Valencia), Taiwan(Taipei) and Turkey(Bursa).

VICOS P500 has successfully been profiled with ProDelphi. Thereby the processing time was drastically reduced:

• process messages 50 % faster,
• measured values 32 % faster,
• topological calculations 13 % faster.
